Coffee and Film

Recently i downloaded a new ringtone for my Nokia N81 after a long time because they already provide quite many songs on the Nokia PC Suite which comes along with it. So apart from the set of general polyphonic ringtones they provide their own set of mp3 songs which we can set as a ringtone. They have a song ‘Little things’ by Andy Briton and company which i searched on you tube but couldn’t find it. It didn’t occur to me that i can copy it to my laptop via bluetooth! It’s another thing that i wanted to see the video too.

Then it occurred to me that i could download new songs too! So i reached a mp3 ringtone site. They have latest offerings and you can download ringtones directly on to your phone by sending SMS. So i downloaded a few songs of Akon and Rihanna. The experience was overall good because now i change my ringtone every two to three days to put in some spice in my life.

These days having a classy ringtone on your mobile is a kind of style statement. Be it students, college goers, professionals or stay at home mothers, everyone wants a catchy mobile ringtone. After a launch of a new film, there is so much excitement amongst movie goers, not only to view the film, but have its ringtone trendy ringtone.

There are two methods through which you can get a ringtone, either you can make your own, which would be a tiring process, or download it from some good professional sites. There are many sites in the market which have the latest ringtones to download from. They will offer you different methods like Edit> Find or a software download before you can get the ringtone. The first one might be tiring and the second one might actually harm your PC.

One of the sites which i came across while researching on this subject is www.idolme.com and i found it pretty interesting. They can provide you with real music ringtones and not some lame instrumental song. Another thing that caught my eye was the step-by-step process through which they guide the user to download the tone and not some broken links where downloads are impossible. So i found it quite user friendly. They have collaborated with a couple of mobile companies and within minutes your desired movie ringtones can be on your phone!

With mobiles getting trendier, i am sure the mobile movie ringtones have miles to go!

Here is the recipe of Mexican Mocha hot coffee which is very easy to make and yum too!!

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups strong coffee
4 teaspoons chocolate syrup
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream

Procedure
1. Put 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup into each cup
2. Mix Whipping cream, 1/4 teaspoon of the cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
3. Whip until you have soft peaks
4. Place the last 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon into coffee, and stir
5. Pour coffee into cups, stir to mix in chocolate syrup
6. Top with whipped cream mixture.

Any here you go!! Enjoy with friends and family!!

I had heard a lot about this movie and wanted to watch it someday. So when i got to see it on television i happily glued myself to the idiot box. The thing which i had heard in advance about this movie was that it was narrated by bollywood living legend Amitabh Bacchhan. That is why i was looking forward to it lus the fact that it was a love story! Amitabh’s voice in the movie sounds so very authentic and rhythmic that you will almost fall in love with it. Coming back to the story of the movie, it is about the Emperor penguin, his mate and the little child which they bring up together facing all the hardships. It is about how the female of the species transfers her egg to her male who then takes care of it for months. The female in the meantime has to travel miles in search of the food and come back to her family with the stock of food. The father in the meantime takes care of the child which has hatched from the egg by then. They have little or no food left with them and feed the child with some emergency supply from the mouth waiting desperately for the mother. Both father and child have to face the wind stroms and it is only the fittest of the kids who survive. The father also in extreme circumstances eats up the newborn if all his resources are depleted and there is no sign of the mother. The mother walks and walks and tries to reach the family as soon as possible. The distance from the ocean maybe sometimes 120 miles! Once the mothers reach the emperor penguins who have there children all cuddled up under them they recognize their own by the sound they send out. The high decibel shrieks are unique to every penguin and is the only way by which the mate can be recognized. Once they get their mate, the child is transferred to the mother in the same manner as the egg was transferred to the father. Now the mother will bring up the child. The father leaves promptly as he is hungry and has a long journey ahead of him to the ocean. The mother takes care of the child and feeds them properly now. When they grow up sufficiently they are left on their own to lead their independent lives. But after a period of four years, they will repeat the same cycle for their offspring as their parents did for them.

The movie touched my heart because of the message it conveyed. The sacrifice that the penguins do for their young ones is commendable. In most of the animal species, it is the female who has the sole responsibility for bringing up the child but penguins are an excellent example of team work and dedication in a family environment.

Good visuals and sound effects make the movie a must watch for anyone interested in wildlife. It is a better experience than a national geographic or discovery program, i bet!

A Lot Like Love is wonderful romantic comedy, only it’s not very romantic and it sure isn’t very funny.

The movie traces the relationship of Oliver (Ashton) and Emily(Amanda) who meet on a flight from LA to NY seven years ago. Each of them declaring that they couldn’t be more wrong for each other. Life keeps bringing them back together over the next seven years, but the timing was never right.

Along the way, they each gain and shed a few other partners, he amasses a fortune and loses it in a high-tech diaper supply business, she becomes a photographer.

As the time passes by they turn from casual acquaintances in trusted friends who can say anything to each other.

I found this movie quite refreshing and something altogether different.

You require following for making a smooth Iced Coffee

1 cup chilled brewed coffee, made double-strength or with a rich dark roast

2 rounded tablespoons sugar (extra fine)1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/4 tsp genuine vanilla extract

2 cups ice

Combine the coffee, sugar, cream, vanilla and ice in a blender and blend until its creamy.

I’ll start by describing my current film set up. I have a Zone free Samsung DVD player and a multisystem Sony TV. All this is further enhanced by Yamaha home theater system.

All this means I can see movies from all over the world. I watched the movie Around the wolrd in 80 days on the DVD player connected to the multisystem TV and Home theater system.

With a hurricane-type lampshade attached, roasting with a Orville Redenbacher Presto 1440 watt Popcorn Popper is simple and easy.

The beans move around quickly, although you can’t tell that from the photos. The popper heats and blows air with lots of power. The beans did need quick cooling after roasting in a colander and then the freezer, though.

For the roast pretty much fill the popper until the beans were moving real slowly.

However, roasted some robusta the other day with only a handful of beans, and it went fine, albeit a little slower.

The hurricane lampshade thing (which gets real hot – make sure you have a kitchen mitt) keeps the beans from flying out, although at times with less bean one or two will pop out. What is amazing is with all that flying about (and with lesser amounts of beans they fly up at least a foot) they still get hot enough to roast to a first crack and then a second rolling crack pretty quick — under ten minutes, in any case, and a lot faster with less beans… almost as fast as my FreshRoast (just got the new improved chamber – Thanks to Tim at FreshBeans!), which is of course in itself a bottom air model.
In any case the beans move around real well, which means the roast is going to be even. I don’t understand how people can get uneven roasts with this setup unless they overload the thing.

I think I prefer roasting with the Redenbacher to my FreshRoast, except for the lack of a cooling cycle, which means thing get hectic real quick when the roasts get dark; I’m going to try freezing the cast iron pan to cool them, that should be easy and is no more obsessive than any of my other coffee behaviors.

The FreshRoast is, of course, easier to control, and you don’t risk wasting a big batch of beans. I’m looking forward towards using the new improved roasting chamber, which ships standard with the newer FreshRoast Plus.

It all started with a Saeco Maestro that I bought. Dream shots. Lots of cream. Sweetness. A taste of fruit. A new coffee odyssey that lasted for several months until the Solis Maestro died. And now I’m waiting. Next week it should be back…All this waiting has caused me to reevaluate the coffee house scene. Sacred Cup is gone… JP’s Java has awesome coffee now… As good as chez moi. And Spider House is fun as well.
