Coffee and Film

Reign over Me is a okay sort of film written and directed by MIke Binder. One can say that it is worth a watch but that is it. It stars Adam Sandlar and Don Cheadle in the lead. It is the story of two high school roommates who get separated and meet after a long time just by coincidence. Don is a reputed dentist and has a family to look after, while Adam is alone as he has lost his wife and all three daughters in a car crash. This has made him utterly depressed and he tries to evade reality by living in his own different world. Don has everything but misses the company of a male friend. He later realizes that he thinks that his wife has too much control over him and both friends let it loose one night. Adam one day realizes that he requires treatment for what he is going through. He is observed by a psychiatrist played by Liv Taylor.She tells Don that till Adam pours his heart out to someone, he wouldn;t recover. But he doesn’t want to recover and is sent to a rehabilitation centre. Meanwhile, Don’s father passes away and this event brings the family close together again.
